The Omega x Swatch Moonswatch: The Full Nick Shabazz Review
Переглядів 8 тис.3 місяці тому
Today, a full review of one of the most hyped watch releases in 2023: The Moonswatch, in which I'll infuriate commenters by arguing that the price is simultaneously the Great, and the Ugly. CORRECTION: I misspoke, the Limited editions have a Golden *seconds* hand, not hour hand.

That multibond 6 get my time 1 hour plus. So irritating. So i always adjust my time. So i just turn it off that shit haha
Thanks again, Nick, for a great review! Regarding your statements about "QC issues", would you recommend the ProTech Malibu over this one in terms of overall build quality and balde sharpness/durability? Thank you sir!
Just bought the same watch for £800 in the UK. I guess it's a very good price for what you get. It's my very first real brand watch.
Lewis Jewelers is my AD also here in A2.
I once purchased a Chinese knockoff swiss army knife and the guy on the assembly line decided to file his nails with it. Fillings were all inside of the package!???!!!<>.
Can't listen to this guy's voice and accent 😠
The Seamaster is an awesome watch.
I'd keep my Casio gw5000u. It's durable and has a bunch of features that I use daily.
Nick! The knife world (and the world at large) needs you! Your humor, spirit, and attention to relevant details was the soundtrack to my lockdown/covid days. In your debt for all the amazing work!
Marauder mini has a replaceable cell. Olight sell them.
My first Sage was a Sage 1, which I chose from the full line of Sages because I like liner locks. Since that time however, I have taken an interest in Para 3s, to the extent that I now own, and most have customized about 25 knives. Anyway, I have come to LOVE compression locks! When I was reminded that the Sage 5 has a compression lock, I bought one. It was fine the way it was, though I hate FRN knife scales, then I became aware of some really nIce titanium RGT replacement scales, so I jumped at that chance! I bought both a Sage 5 with S30V steel and the RGT scales and immediately put them together. The knife is nearly perfect! I was skeptical about the Japanese manufacture, which may not be quite as good as the American stuff, but it is quite good! I am intrigued by the question, is it a better Para 3? It is similarly good! When I can buy Sage 5s in 20 different blade steels, and when the aftermarket scale makers make some better scales for the Sage 5 (as RGT has started doing), then I might consider the Sage 5 to be as good as the Para 3. Until that time, I will certainly build a few, with custom scales, etc. My Sage 5 might very likely, as often as not, be the one I carry… I really, really like it!
You should put all of your Lubes and lock tight you use in the description
Slip joint on ukpk is too weak
Still have mine, still love it. I have come to prefer the 20CV banter however.
E.A.B Ekstjajnebl Affordeble Blade
Buck 110 Slim Pro Big Handle Small Blade :(
Ive never had an issue open mine...maybe you have weak coordination
I have the model before this...20 years edc, still kicken
I am an owner of the OK and it is my favorite by a mile
This is the best knife channel on UA-cam. Nick talks about the things that actually matter day-to-day and doesn't take himself, or the hobby, too seriously. Keep doing what you do, Nick.
putting this back together has broken my spirits, I struggled so much
5:20 that’s what she said
Hey Nick, thanks for all your amazing work. You should have a look at the Bowie version. Best budget knife I've ever bought
Hello from the deep deep north of Canada! last week i received the Ruike P135 ! I desassambled it at the same time as you did was so help full and by the like it mentionned lower down i put a peicve of tape on those 2 scres and no more falling! I hv been in knives for a bit collector and sharpener after 31 years as a firefighter officer. I have a nice little collection of about 80 - 100 diffrent knives from Fix to Folding to Survival to EDC and manmy different cies. Range of about 150$ to 30$ so quite versatile and i love to take them appart like a kid to see how it is made and at the same time do a good maintenance on it even if not realy needed! But you said some things about RUIKE 1st lost of your time exept maybe for 2 of them and that you dont realy like there knives! Of course each 1 our favorite and taste but i have a few good RUIKE (Always Doing quit of a research on them before buying them) i have ex: P-105-K Pale blue (very nice solide like a rock and razor sharp that i carried almost 2 months) also the P-138 What a nice peice of work opens like a rocket again well center and solide razor sharp from the box and also the P-138 B nice grip again solide center and razor sharp and ok this 1 the P-135 That i love those Lock blade mechanism and now being well rebuilt and major clean up and oil propely is i think nice looking and strong in the hand! So i just found it a bit your comment ruff about this cie and there knives for the price i realy think you cant go wrong and not shy to hv it in my little collection! Thank you for all your work i folow you you are in my favorites so i dont miss all your videos! Great work and God Bless! Frank from the deep North! P.S. I should receive next week the P-801 very anxious to see it!
Thanks Nick. Appreciated.
Hi, Can you please measure the bearing OD, ID and thickness? I'd like to replace mines with thick washers but I don't know the correct size. Thanks in advance
So, here I am watching this video for the umpteenth time and I got to the the front flip part.... Pulled mine out and front flipped several times with no problem except for when I was doing it several times in a row. Probably not my choice of deployment since I'm just now finding it but it does work.
I love, love, love Citizen and their Eco-Drive movement. Completely bulletproof. However, I wish they would release a model with smaller dimensions. This watch would be absolutely killer at 40mm.
At the minute there is a seller in Ukraine selling the original on eBay and the buy it now price is $1060 US.
I had this and sold it. Way too slick to carry. Cool look and I love the chap. I have 3. But this was a no go
It's not timascus, it's anodized.
Project manager/surveyor here. When I’m surveying I can be an annoying distance away from the truck to have to go back for a bit driver or pliers to tighten up my tri pod. I obviously also want to carry a pocket knife on me so bada boom bada bing: skeletool. It hasn’t become my 100% set it and forget it solution yet. Some days I have a knife in my pocket and put a Leatherman Rebar on my belt and a bit sleeve in my pocket when I’m specifically going out to survey. Still not sure which one I like more. The skeletool is pretty good at mimicking a regular pocket folding knife so it can be your one size fits all. But for only 1.5 more ounces the Rebar is a full size fully capable multitool. You just have to carry a normal pocket folding knife as well. But yea that’s how the skeletool manifests itself as relevant in my life.
I always watch this video whenever I have an urge to get a new watch. It does help me in having a more logical outlook. For somebody who has spent a fortune on watches in the past, I am very grateful for this. Really... I am.
I love it to the bits😂
I like that he’s from 1920
Have you considered talking normal
Thanks as always, Nick. Just got a gently-used 945 that wasn't opening/closing very well, and your video helped me to get it cleaned up and back to drop-shutting status!
If you think the PO is overpriced, you must think the Submariner is highway robbery.
🙏🙏🙏
Been watching Nick's reviews for year's now. One of the first UA-camrs to review knives. Always a good view... Thanks.
I have the 4 in ti-lite and I love it. My favorite pocket knife
👍🏼👍🏼
Still can’t beat HB2 pencils.
20:17 😂😂😂
Japan: Hardlex, Mineral and plastic. Certina: Sapphire with AR coating. For me it's no contest.
Agree that it would be awesome in titanium (grade 5) but it would be much more expensive then. It's a great piece as it is. The no date acutally is an advantage for me. I tend to use the bezel to set the date (1st minute = 1st of the month, 2nd = 2nd, etc)
it's kinda strange that you say you can't buy a real walker but absolutely can spend the same amount of $ (or even more) on a watch. good review though, that knife has a nice design for sure and the price is okay.
This is a great review. Just one question, why do Americans persist in calling knives ' Guys'? It's an item, not a living thing. It may sound trivial but I find it so annoying.
This is a really great knife. The MG AD20S with titanium scales is going for $650 new and they still sell out in minutes so this is the compromise. As soon as I handled it I stopped carrying anything else. I just got lucky and found an AD20s in Magnacut, leftover stock from Blade Show Atlanta I assume. I could seriously stop collecting at this point.
I got a delica with a broken tip for dirt cheap and put it to a belt sander and ground it to this exact shape
